The case of Jeremy Ractliffe was postponed in a Johannesburg court earlier this week.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell testified in court that the man gave her uncut diamonds.
Spokesperson of the National Director of Public Prosecutions Mthunzi Mhaga, says the case has been postponed to 27 October.
Ractliffe appeared in court on Tuesday and was released on a warning.
Ractliffe is facing charges associated with possession of uncut diamonds, which relates to the contravention of the Diamonds Act of 1956.
Ractliffe was chief executive of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund when Campbell claimed to have received uncut diamonds after a charity fundraiser.
