The South African NGO Coalition in the Western Cape has strongly condemned the proposed closure of 27 schools by Western Cape Education MEC Donald Grant.
Grant recently announced the possible closure of the under-performing schools in the province and has already written letters to the schools informing them of his intentions.
Sangoco joins other organisations that are against this proposed moved.
Cosatu and the ANC in the Western Cape have called for the MEC to withdraw his actions.
