The South African Municipal Workers Union was very dismayed to hear the news that the South African government has provided 200-billion-US Dollars as financial assistance to the International Monetary Fund.
SAMWU’s Steve Faulkner said they are very alarmed, because at this time hundreds of thousands of public sector workers are campaigning for a living wage increase.
Faulkner says they are not happy about this financial assistance.
He added that there has been hardly any increase in the benefits, and this is inappropriate.
