Basic Education Minister declines DA offer

The Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has declined an offer by the Democratic Alliance to provide a fleet of vehicles to deliver textbooks to Limpopo schools.

The Basic Education department and NGO`s reached an agreement for a new deadline.

The books are now to be delivered no later than Wednesday next week.

DA`s Mmusi Maimane says they hope that the Minister will come up with a plan as she declined their offer.

He added that the party made the offer in compliant with the court order to deliver the books within 48 hours.
