A man died in an accident in Carletonville

A man in his 30's was killed last night after he was knocked down from his bicycle in Wadela near Carletonville, West of Johannesburg.

Paramedics and the local Fire Department were dispatched to the scene and found that the man had sustained extensive fatal injuries.

ER24 Spokesperson Christo Venter said he was declared deceased on the scene.

Venter said the driver of the light motor vehicle, a woman in her 50's, sustained moderate injuries from the impact of the collision. She was stabelised on the scene and transported to the Lesley Williams hospital for further medical care.
