The Democratic Alliance is calling on Minister of Public Enterprises Lynne Brown to remove Eskom Board’s Chairperson Zola Tsotsi as the head of the power utilities inquiry.
This follows the suspension of four Eskom executives including CEO Tshediso Matona last week relating to poor performance and cash flow challenges amongst others.
However Eskom has denied this stating that a lawyer has been appointed to head the inquiry.
DA MP of Public Enterprises Natasha Mazzone said they would like to know why he was chosen and they would like Minister Lynne Brown to intervene immediately to make sure that an independent party not attached Eskom is in charge of the investigation.
