Four people injured involving two vehicles on the N12

Four people were injured following an accident involving two vehicles on the N12 in Ikageng, Potchefstroom last night.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found one vehicle had come to a standstill on its roof and there were still occupants inside the vehicle.

The exact details surrounding the cause of the accident will remain the subject to a police investigation.

Media liaison officer Santi Steinmann said on arrival on scene they found one of the vehicles overturned and came to a standstill on its roof.

Steinmann said two occupants were trapped and Fire department had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate them from the vehicle.

Steinmann said two children were also injured during the rollover accident, and upon assessment of all occupants they found that the injuries of the children were moderate various injuries while another occupant sustained serious injuries and the fourth occupant sustained critical injuries.
