Pinelands North Primary earns 3rd spot in a Global Competition

Listed as one of the top three candidates in the Overcoming Adversity category, Pinelands North Primary school fell just short at the final hurdle when Uganda’s Project Shelter Wakadogo was announced as the winner

Pinelands North competed against the Ugandans and Escola Evandro Ferreira Dos Santos in Brazil for the honour and a $50 000 prize

Hosted by T4 Education in partnership with Templeton World Charity Foundation, Accenture and American Express, the accolade is awarded to the school as part of the World Education Week activities.

Education MEC David Maynier congratulated the school: “While the school did not make it all the way to first place, it remains a fantastic achievement for our country and for the Western Cape.”
