The Western Cape has been declared by the Department of Labour that its Domestic Sector Compliance is not yet ideal.

The Western Cape labour inspectors inspected 215 households across the province, with only 103 meeting the terms of the labour laws.

The results from the inspection showed that the Western Cape has a compliance rate of 48 percent.

Labour Provincial Spokesperson Temba Gubula says the labour department will do a follow up inspection in February, to make sure employers comply with the labour laws.
