A number of schools in the North West have reopened after flooding forced their closure.
However, the provincial education department says lessons can still not take place in the Tlapeng and Mmammutla villages.
Pupils could also not get to school in Bethlehem in the Free State yesterday.
People living near the Crocodile River in Mpumalanga have now been warned to be cautious of rising water levels.
In Limpopo, the National Defence Force is providing humanitarian assistance to flood victims in the Vhembe District Municipality.
