Commuters in the coming weeks in the Western Cape can expect an increase in taxi fares.
This increase follows repeated petrol price increases with another petrol price increase tomorrow, whereby petrol will go up by 26 cents a litre at midnight.
Council spokesperson Mvuyisi Mente said the price hike must first be discussed amongst the various associations.
The Western Cape Taxi Council has stated that it cannot confirm when the increase in taxi fares will happen.
