Government says it needs an additional R20 million for flood relief in several provinces.
The Social Development has joined forces with the private sector and civil society in its relief efforts.
At least five-thousand families affected by the floods are still in need of help.
Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini says a task team has been set up to deal with the crisis
Dlamini says the focus this week will be on the Northern Cape.
It is one of the provinces with the least access to resources.
R5 million is being processed for KwaZulu-Natal, where 88 of the more than 100 flood deaths have occurred.
