A disciplinary action against Mbhazima Shilowa will go ahead in his absence at the Congress of the People’s parliamentary offices.
Shilowa, who is claiming leadership of the troubled party is facing numerous charges, including mismanagement of funds.
Should he be found guilty, he could be expelled from Cope, and as the party’s Member of Parliament.
This weekend, Shilowa said Cope would be a united party again by the end of next month.
However, analysts say the party has little chance of surviving the upcoming local government elections.
