Eight Gauteng metro police members were arrested after being caught stealing alcohol which had fallen from an SA Breweries truck.
The accident happened on the N12 outside Potchefstroom yesterday when the officials loaded bottles of alcohol into their vehicles.
The driver of the truck had summoned the metro police after motorists had alerted him to the pallets falling of his vehicle.
They will appear in the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court in North West.
