The North West will be leading the Congress of South African Trade Unions 25th anniversary by holding its provincial celebrations at the Lethabong sports ground today.

This is a build up in preparation to the union’s national celebrations on the 4th December to take the struggle of the working class forward.

General Secretary of COSATU Zwelinzima Vavi will be addressing its members and affiliates at the event.

“The purpose of our celebration is to build a strong federation in the North West and South Africa,” Solly Phetoe COSATU North West Provincial Secretary said.

“Our programme outlines the fight against corruption amongst government officials,
We also want to intensify our anti-racism and our service delivery campaign and most importantly, the launch of our 2011 local government election campaign,” Phetoe said.
