This morning an accident involving two taxis in the Karoo has left twelve people died.
The accident occurred between Laingsburg and Beaufort West, where a minibus collided with an on coming car.
11 people were declared died on arrival and another one died on arrival at the Tygerberg Hospital, 7 were in a critical condition, 4 had serious injuries and 22 sustained minor injuries.
Among the injured is a 5-year-old boy, a 8-year-old boy who has suffered a head injury and a 1-year-old boy who is in a stable condition, there are at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.
Police have opened a case of culpable homicide and are investigating the incident.
