A Golden Arrow bus was set alight by angry protesters in Nyanga on the Cape Flats.
This is the second incident of this nature in just one week.
It is alleged that protesters started by throwing stones at the bus, and in fear for his life the driver jumped out.
The angry residents later put burning tyres underneath the bus seting it on fire.
Nyanga residents have been on protest over service delivery.
Golden Arrow's spokesperson Bronwen Dyke said it costs more than R1m to replace one bus
The bus company will continue running its service in the area.
