The six Zimbabwean prisoners who escaped from the Munsina police cells on Monday are still at large.
Police are still investigating who helped the prisoners escaped, or why the police officer on duty at the time did not try and stop the prisoners.
Four of the escaped prisoners are awaiting trial of crimes which range from murder to robbery.
The other two have been convicted and were sentenced on Friday for theft, housebreaking and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Lieutenant Mohale Ramatseba said “We are getting information and are following leads”.
