A leopard has been shot by park rangers at the Skukuza rest camp in the Kruger National Park.
Laura Mukwevho, who is the spokesperson for the park said the animal managed to gain access into one of the guesthouses.
She says the game capture team had to act urgently to prevent a possible attack or injury to guests.
She says any wild animal that roams around during the day and gets trapped within a confined space is bound to be dangerous and it is not worth taking the risk of someone getting hurt.
