Eight people taken to hospital after a gas leak

A suspected gas leak at a furniture factory in Epping resulted in eight people being taken to hospital.

Emergency Medical Services spokeswomen Keri Davids said eight women who complained of tight chests and nausea were treated on the scene with oxygen.

Davids added that the women were all taken to hospital for further treatment.

The factory was declared safe after fire and rescue crew tested the factory.
