On Thursday afternoon members of the Hawks and Crime Intelligence carried out an undercover drug bust at a bus depot near Cape Town station.
Police were following up a suspected drug courier transporting drugs on a luxury bus from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
The police’s November Filander said that when the suspect arrived at the Depot where he linked up with two other suspects who drove off in a white Ford Focus.
Filander said police then followed the vehicle and pulled the suspects over in Woodstock.
He added that when police searched the vehicle they found twelve packets of mandrax with an estimated street value of R600 000 and a huge amount of cash in the possession of the suspects.
The suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs.
The suspects will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates Court.
Filander urged the public to come forward with any drug related information and to call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
