Western Cape Police has confirmed that a body of an Indonesian sailor was discovered at Cape Town Harbour
Captain FC van Wyk said the 34-year-old man went to take lunch and later decided to rest on his bunk.
When his friends tried to wake him up he did not respond.
Van Wyk said paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
“an inquest docket has been opened and his body was taken to the Salt River mortuary; a post-mortem will be done to det4ermine the course of death” van Wyk added.
