The African National Congress Youth League said the decision to reinstate Andile Lili and Loyiso Nkohla confirms the long held view that everyone in the movement needs to stand together and champion the struggles of the people.

Nkohla and Lili were expelled from the party following his involvement in last year's dumping of human faeces during protests in the city.

ANC Youth League Western Cape Convener Muhammad Khalid Sayed said these fearless members are back where they belong and the ANCYL is very pleased that the decision was changed.

Meanwhile the African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape said they are not surprised that Andile Lili and Loyiso Nkohla were reinstated to the ANC.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said Lili and Nkohla have shown no remorse and will continue to bring the ANC into disrepute.

Christians said by bringing back these two that is not a message that is being sent to the voter because these two have done a lot.
