Western Cape government hosts after school youth safety programme

The Western Cape Department of Community Safety hosted an After School Youth Safety Programme. 

The programme occupies learners and out of school youth with after school activities in various areas. 

Senior Manager for Social Crime Prevention at the Department of Community Safety in the Western Cape Advocate Anetha Michaels said the programme also helps encourage youth in gang affected areas. 

Michaels said there are six hubs that have been identified by the City of Cape Town,Hanover Park ,Kleinvlei and Khayelitsha.

She added that these learners will be kept busy by the students Crisis Academy and they will be shown around.
