Two suspects aged 18 and 19-years-old were
last week sentenced in the Greytown Regional
Court
The incident happened on different
occasions and the victims were 8 and 9-years-old at the time.
In the first incident a 9-year-old girl was
raped at her home at knife point and in the second incident a 8-year-old was
raped while she was on her way to school.
Police Spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane
said in the first incident the suspect was arrested for raping for a 9 year-old
girl and the suspect was 17 years-old at the time last year. And the case was
opened in Msinga area and the suspect was arrested.
Zwane said in the second it happened last
year where a 7 year-old was raped by a 17 year-old and through investigation
the suspect was arrested and charged for rape.
