Four people died and multiple injured in an accident in Boksburg

Four people have died and approximately 11 injured when a taxi collided with a heavy goods truck in Boksburg.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and heavy goods vehicle had collided head-on resulting in four people tragically losing their lives, four people were found to be in a critical condition and approximately seven people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.

Steinman added that the Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift one of the critically injured people to hospital while the rest of the injured people were treated on scene and rushed to hospital for further medical care.

Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
