Residents of Zilleraine Heights in Grassy Park are claiming that the City of Cape Town is attacking them by demobilising their structures.

Residential Spokesperson Eleanor Vermaak alleged that the city said the structures at Parkwood need to be demolished before they receive keys to houses at Pelikan Park.

Vermaak said the problem is not all the residents will get housing and they have called for the intimidation by the city to stop. There were a few city officials with cars and told the people that if they do not break demolish their structures they wont get their keys to the houses

“What we said to them is what is going to happen to the other people who will not receive houses and we told the city officials that we are going nowhere” Vermaak added.
