A couple were on Monday arrested
after they were caught planting dagga at their backyards in Zizamele informal
settlement in the Eastern Cape .
Police discovered about 200 dagga
plants at a value of about R1 500 planted in their garden. The couple has been charged with cultivating
dagga.
Captain Jackson Manatha said they
discovered that instead of ploughed vegetables in their garden they ploughed
some dagga.
“Both of them have been detained and
they will appear before a magistrate court in Butterworth today" Manatha added.
