The Police’s Solomon Makgale said the man
belonged to one of the most elaborate and worldwide web of online
predators.
The court found that Charles Martin Ashford
was unlawfully in possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to R20 000 and
suspended for three years and declared unfit to work with children.
Makgale said the other matters are still
before court and our investigations are continuing.
“We believe that there are many more people
that we need to arrest. At the last
count we had just over 30 people that were involved in the possession and
possible distribution of child pornography” Makgale added.
