Three bodies discovered with gunshot wounds in Kuilsriver

Kuilsriver police have activated the 72-hour activation plan to track down suspect(s) after three bodies were discovered in a canal in Sarepta on Thursday morning.

Brigadier Novela Potelwa said that several spent cartridges were discovered in the vicinity.

‘’Reports from the scene indicate that police were called out at around 06:00, after passers-by spotted the bodies of two women and a man with gunshot wounds in the water. Several spent cartridges were discovered in vicinity. Police divers responded and retrieved the bodies from the water,’’ said Potelwa.

‘’Police have instituted the 72 hour Activation Plan for the mobilisation of resources in search of the suspect/s and determining the motive for the murders. At this point of the investigation, the identities of the deceased persons remain unknown,’’ added Potelwa.
