It has emerged that clothing employers have failed to meet their commitments regarding compliance improvement in the clothing industry.

This is what SACTWU’s review analyses on the implementation of last year’s clothing wage agreement shows.

SACTWU’s researcher Simon Atwell said in exchange employers were going to increase employment at compliant companies.

He said that employers have not met the targets that they have set.

Atwell said that SACTWU is aggrieved by this and they will take the matter up.
