Democratic Alliance has called on national government to take steps to actively promote the farm equity share scheme model.

The model has been implemented in 90 farms in the Western Cape successfully.

The DA Shadow Minister of Trade and Industry Wilmot James visited the Bosman farm in Wellington where he came across one of the most progressive and far reaching back empowerment schemes in the country.

James says this is an ethical trade, because it allows workers to have a share in the business.
