Public Protector Thuli Madonsela has cited the Western Cape government for maladministration.
Madonsela did not find any unlawfulness in the DA led government’s contract with advertising agency TBWA.
The Public Protector said she found four findings of maladministration, but found no evidence of unlawfulness.
Premier Helen Zille Spokesperson Zak Mbhele said it reconfirms the draft finding that there was no corruption, no political interface and nothing unlawful about the tender.
Mbhele added that the whole matter was blown out of proportion by political opponents.
