On Wednesday the Women’s Legal Centre successfully filed and argued its application in the Supreme Court.
The application was heard in the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein.
The Director of the Women’s Legal Centre Jennifer Williams said judgement in the High Court which had said that 29 offences or maybe more in the Sexual Offences Act were invalid.
She added that the Supreme Court of Appeals heard the argument in relation to women and children.
