Western Cape Police are still searching for suspects who were involved in a cash-in-transit heist in Goodwood.

On Thursday morning a cash security company picked up money at a business premise on Voortrekker Road in Goodwood.

When the security guards were approaching the car, three unknown males approached them and randomly opened fire on them.

Anyone with information is requested to call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Captain FC van Wyk said the suspects took the money box and an undisclosed amount of money after they shot and wounded two security gurds.

Van Wyk said the suspects fled the scene on a car that was later found abandoned in Goodwood.

Van Wyk also said an armed robbery and attempted murder case has been opened and no one has been arrested as yet.
