Civil Society Groups wants reconstruction of SAPS.

On Monday Civil Society organizations including Campaign for Safe Communities and Equal Education marched to Parliament to demand strong action against police officers who break the law. 

Campaign for Safe Communities Spokesperson Axolile Notywala said faith needs to be restored in the police.

Notywala called upon the Police to hold public hearing with purpose of beginning the process of a reconstruction of SAPS and they want the overwrite Parliament to do its works.

Notywala further added that they want it to look at the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, the Campaign see it as ineffective at the moment. they want the IPID to be investigated and government to build a democratic and accountable Police services that can be trusted.
