ER24- There is an increase in pedestrians killed on the road

ER24 has today revealed that the number of incidents that paramedics are called out to, involving pedestrians that are knocked down by vehicles has increased.

ER24 reports that in 2013 alone, there have been 728 incidents, many of them fatal.

ER24’s Vanessa Jackson said there is lot of people that cross roads at illegal crossing zone, and encouraged motorists to always look out for pedestrians.

Jackson added that pedestrians can not be stopped from crossing the road but they also need to ensure that they use the road safely.
