Western Cape Police have confirmed that 5-year-old Zeta Adams who went missing on Wednesday has been found.

Police Spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said police followed up on information that was provided by community members.

She was found at a house close to her home.  It is believed that she was held there against her will.

Van Wyk said that a kidnapping case has been opened and the child will be taken to hospital for medical examination.

“We are urgently in need of assistance from the community in tracing 45 year old Desmond Wolmarans who can assist police in the investigation; he is believed to be in the Mitchell’s Plain area” van Wyk added.

Van Wyk also said that the success is the result of the  good cooperation that exists between the Mitchells Plain community, and the South African Police Services.
