This morning in Khayelitsha a man was beaten to death and set alight after he was accused of robbery.

Police have not made any arrests regarding this matter, but the investigation continues.

Police’s Andre Traut said the death of 26 year old Lindele Massi of Makhaza is being investigated.

Traut added that he was beaten to death and set alight during the early hours of this morning.

“Vigilantism is strongly condemned by the police and we will take action against people committing these types of acts”, said Traut.
