The African Christian Democratic Party has called on the Department of Home Affairs to put relevant measures in place to protect the integrity of official documents.

ACDP calls for increased reporting on investigations, convictions and penalties for officials within the department of Home Affairs who have committed fraud.

ACDP MP and Chief Whip Cheryllyn Dudley said in the awake of the reports of the Kenyan terror suspect that has acquired a passport, we have heard a lot of excuses and we've heard a lot of things that should be done, but all of this is not new.

South Africa has been gaining a reputation as lacking integrity in this area over a long period of time and it is not helpful and it is also not helpful to the broader South African public.
