The Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance
said it is important for the public to know that it is not a legal requirement
to get an eTag.
Outa Chairperson Wayne Duvenage said it is
only in the current legal framework requirements to pay your e-toll bills but
there are many options if you chose to do so.
Duvenage added that the public can use
their right to conduct passive resistant and slow the system down. However we as Outa remain defiant in
e-tolls.
Meanwhile on Thursday the South African
National Road Agency Limited CEO, Nazir Alli said South Africans are generally
law abiding citizens and are not selective in which laws they abide too.
