Save the Children South Africa’s CEO Gugu
Ndebele said deaths of newborn babies can be prevented with commitment, will
and simple solutions like ensuring every mother and child is in reach of a
fully trained and equipped health worker.
This as on Monday the Maternal, Newborn and
Child Health Partners Forum was held in Johannesburg under the theme Accelerate
progress, envision the future.
Save the Children South Africa’s
Spokesperson Karen Allan said Save the Children’s campaign is all about
ensuring that no child is born to die and no mother should die giving birth.
“We joining forces with other civil
sobriety organisations to join a movement for change Allan added.
