A woman believed to be around
30-years-old was found raped and murdered in Honeydew, police said Today.
It was believed that she had
been attacked as she was walking home from work on Thursday evening.
Major Mac Mngomezulu said “She was half-naked when she was found and
the manner in which she was found suggests that she was raped but this will be
confirmed once a post-mortem is conducted.
It seemed she had been strangled because there
were no visible injuries on her.
Her
body was discovered by security guards just a short distance from her home on
Friday morning."
The woman's cellphone and
handbag was missing.
No arrests had been
made.
