President Jacob Zuma says those who predicted the end of the African National Congress's alliance with the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the SA Communist Party were mistaken.

Zuma was speaking at a gala dinner of the Progressive Business Forum in Polokwane ahead of the ANC's 99th anniversary celebrations.
He said the ANC has never shielded away from the workers and that their alliance with Cosatu is not something decided on recently, but an old tradition.
