Flood waters continue to rise at the Vaal Dam, forcing residents to evacuate their homes along the Vaal River.
The overflowing dam is now 110-percent full a situation similar to the 1996 floods in the area.
Disaster Risk Management official, Theo van Niekerk, says the overflowing dam poses a serious risk.
He advised people in the area to take exyra precautions
