On Saturday, a five-year-old boy was attacked and killed by a black Rottweiler Cape.
ER24 spokesperson Andre Visser said the child and his friend was playing on a wine farm in Durbanville Hills at the neighbour's house while its owners were away.
One of the children allegedly ran towards the house screaming that the dog had attacked his friend.
Visser said when paramedics arrived at the scene the boy was already dead and had injuries to his neck.
The boy apparently died from suffocation as there wasn't much blood loss.
