The National Prosecuting Authority have stated that they have not
received any new information indicating British national Shrien Dewani is a suspect in his wife’s murder.
NPA Western Cape spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila said "We know from a press conference held in Gugulethu two weeks ago where it was mentioned by National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele that Dewani is not a suspect and we have not been told something different by the police up to now.
This announcement comes after numerous media including the British newspapers have speculated that Shrien may have been involved in her murder.
Anni Dewani was murdered in a hijacking in Gugulethu two weeks ago.
