Five men have died after their car crashed into a tree on the R30 between Orkney and Bothaville.
In another incident three men were killed and four others injured, one man critically injured when two cars collided head-on, on the R554 near Kriel in Mpumalanga.
In the Free State a bus overturned earlier this morning leaving 72 people injured, two of them critically.
The accident took place near Rosendal on the R70.
