Over the past weekend, four people died on the Western Cape’s roads confirmed traffic officials.
Near George one person died in a head-on collision while three pedestrians were knocked over on the R300 and R62.
The Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said that 24 people were arrested in the province for drunk driving.
He added that they arrested one person for being in possession of false documents.
Traffic authorities have amped up their traffic campaigns ahead of the Easter weekend.
