Today the captain attached to the Hawks appeared in the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crime Court on eight charges.
Esmerald Bailey was charged with corruption, possession of ammunition and drugs and five charges of defeating the ends of justice.
It is alleged that she was caught in an undercover police operation, selling police uniforms, firearms and ammunition.
According to the charge sheet, Bailey was paid R4500 for ammunition and police uniforms by an undercover police officer.
